The Physics Placement Tool uses Unity Physics to aid in level layout. It’s intended to be used only in the Editor.
It also supports 2D object placement.
When selecting the tool, an Overlay window will appear with the following options:
Simulate w/ Gravity: A manual simulation button useful for finalizing object placement.
Simulation Iterations: The higher the value, the more collision checks made.
Enable Rotation: Allow the object to rotate. Also toggles the rotation handle.
Can Push Objects: Allow the object to push other objects.
